For a town that was so big during
ancient Roman and Medieval times, you would think
that Rimini would be known for art and culture like
the rest of the older cities in Emilia Romagna. On
the contrary, Rimini, although it does have a few
sites, like the Tempio Malatesiano. It is known
now for its beaches and extravagant night life.
In the past few years the overspill
from the explosion of Rimini has caused the emergence
of a row of seaside resort towns to emerge. Most notably
Rimini’s neighboring city of Riccione.
